Colonoscopy Findings

Post Content

Hi all, I'm on a journey to figure out gut issues I've had on and off for the past 3 years or so (31F). I was told by my GP that I had IBS-D, but I wasn't satisfied so I requested blood and stool tests to rule out as much as possible and to pursue further testing if nothing specific came up. To her credit my GP (a D.O.) ordered the tests and some of my numbers were off. Calprotectin 169, protein and albumin slightly elevated, SED rate 38. GP referred me to a GI specialist very quickly. She recommended a colonoscopy to look for microscopic colitis. So on Feb 9th I had my first colonoscopy at 31! Quite the experience. Anyway, as I await results, I was wondering if anyone had their own experience with this finding: "Colonic mucosa appeared pale and with loss of vascular markings and erythematous". I also have some white patches on my right colon, similar in appearance to pieces of fat on a chicken breast. Weird comparison I know.
