19F, UTI symptoms for a few weeks with no (recent) pain, should I go to the doctor?
Post Content
To preface this, I've had chronic UTIs since I was around 14. Since my first UTI, I've gotten them maybe once every.. two months? Ish? So, I had a normal UTI last month, and I did my normal "goddamnit not again" routine. Pop an Azo, drink a ton of water, and hope for the best. It got worse a few days later and I got worried, but I went through my meds and found an older (not expired) prescription I got from my doctor back in my hometown (Cephalexin 500mg), and I started taking those for it. I am now out of them. It doesn't hurt like it usually does, but I've still noticed a significant odor and cloudiness when I urinate, and some occasional sorta sharp (but mild) discomfort in my urethra(?) when I'm going about my day. Usually I would just drink water about it, but it's been almost a whole month having mild symptoms. Do I need to go to the doctor now? What kind of doctor?? Follow up question: I recently moved to a new state, across the country from my home state. My insurance is for my home state, and when I looked up if it could cover anything in my new state it said it only covered out of state emergencies. Is there literally anything I can do to get like... the lowest bill possible...? I'm unfortunately unemployed and in a tough spot in my life right now.
