GUYS!! What are your hacks for completing laundry?

The whole sha-bang, ya know… washer, switching to dryer, and then folding. I constantly forget that there is laundry in the machines. It doesn’t help they are on a different floor than the main one I live on. My partner has been taking all of the weight on the laundry chore and I feel awful. Even when I say I’ll do it, I don’t, and he has to do MORE work. Any tips on hacks to help yourself finish? Or advice?
