I just had the oddest doctor's appointment

Post Content

I saw a dermatologist today for acne treatment and the first thing this guy does is start massaging my neck and shoulders. He was saying something about releasing fluid. But I am so confused as to how this relates to the acne. He did this for a good 10 minutes. I have never had a dermatologist do such a thing before and am left confused and baffled at how my appointment went. Ultimately, I was prescribed Tretinoin and given several face wash and moisturizer samples. But I have no idea why this man was pressing on my neck and shoulders and speaking of fluid build up. Has anyone had a similar experience? This experience is just so bizarre to me. I didn't really get an explanation from him. I did feel better after he pressed on me, but I still am confused as to how this is helpful for acne treatment.
