Finger healed wrong after fracture last year — is mobility/nerve pain reversible?

Post Content

20M, 5’11. About a year ago I broke my finger while sledding. It was extremely cold and I didn’t actually feel sharp pain when it happened — just a lot of pressure and an uncomfortable feeling. I assumed it was jammed because everyone around me said I would “know” if it was broken. I didn’t go to the hospital right away. When I eventually did, they told me I should’ve come sooner. By that point it had already started healing wrong. Now it’s been over a year and the finger is definitely not the same. I have reduced mobility (especially bending fully), stiffness, and occasional nerve-type pain (tingling/burning). It also still looks slightly swollen compared to the other side. My questions: • Is there anything that can realistically be done this far out to improve mobility? • Can nerve pain from a poorly healed fracture improve over time? • Would physical therapy still help after a year? • Is corrective surgery ever an option in cases like this, or is that unlikely? Just looking for general guidance before I try to schedule with a specialist again. Pics- https://imgur.com/a/ouch-kJoATwL
