Xanax 0.25mg

Post Content

So I had a panic attack at work Monday that led me to creating a lie to leave work, took the next day off and had crippling anxiety all day and scheduled an appointment with my psychiatrist who was able to get me in the same day. She prescribed me a rescue Xanax 0.25mg. I'm a nurse and am very familiar with Xanax and how well it works. My fear is I'll take it and it will feel too good and it will make me want to keep taking it. I am a huge baby when it comes to medication, I don't even take Tylenol. I've had anxiety for my entire life, at times it was very bad, but I've always muscled through it and came out on the other end. I've only ever been on Zoloft 200mg 1x a day and I've been on it 20 years. I haven't had a bad bout of anxiety this bad for years. I guess I don't really have a question, I more so just wanted to get this off my chest. I am just scared and I know it's probably the anxiety talking. I'm on day 3 of just waves of anxiety and I want my body to just snap out of it. Has anyone taken Xanax just for a fight/flight reset?
