Blood tests?

I’ve been reading a ton and with so much information out there, I’m not sure what to think. Are blood tests needed or just symptoms to begin HRT? I read the DUTCH test is good, then I read that it’s a gimmick. Since bloodwork is just a snapshot in one day, does it really provide much information? Should doctors do a blood test first before prescribing HRT? TIA!
