[25M] I have burning hot hands and feet.

Post Content

For the past couple years, I've (25M) been having this issue with my hands and feet where they turn red when I exercise or overheat. I didn't have the money to see a doctor, so I ended up just powering through it until I could afford it since I didn't really have any other option. Around 6 or 7 months ago, I saw a doctor for the first time and told her about my symptoms. Tingling/burning in my hands, along with them turning bright red and becoming physically hot. I was tested for rheumatoid arthritis, and everything came back normal, but I did have subclinical hypothyroidism, which I was told normally isn't treated unless someone is symptomatic, so she put me on a thyroid hormone and told me to come back every 2 months for blood tests until we find the right dose. I recently started having a new symptom where my knees are also turning red in the same situations as my hands and feet. So I was once again tested for autoimmune issues, where everything came back normal. She said it is most likely just Raynaud's and sent me on my way. I'm honestly not a very expressive person, so at my appointments I was mostly like, "Yeah it hurts," and "Yea it still hurts," but this is something that is legitimately ruining my life. A mild flare-up is probably like a 5/10 where it's just moderately distracting. But a bad one is more like a 7/10 where I legitimately can't focus on anything while it's happening. Something as small as cooking over a hot stove or carrying trash bags out to the dumpster can leave me in pain for 30-45m after. I'm not even sure what I should do at this point. I do think that I mostly likely do have Reynaud's since my feet do sometimes get cold, but I feel like there has to be more going on in this picture.
