Taking DIY abroad?

The title is probably very vague and I apologise, but a group of friends and I are planning to go to florida for a couple of weeks in September. it only hit me recently that... I don't know how legal it is to carry DIY. I take one injection of about 10 units (I go a little bit over to make sure I'm not going under somehow) of EEn each week, and because we are planning to be there for 2 weeks... you can see I'm gonna need to whilst I'm there. how does TSA handle DIY stuff? and how would I go about taking syringes and alcohol wipes? would I be safer just asking an American friend to have a vial and some stuff delivered to them? what risks should I be aware of if I had to do the last option of not take any for 2 weeks?
