Sudden Eye Redness With No Pain — Should I Be Worried?

I’m a 27-year-old female. I don’t take any medications. I have a lazy eye in one eye and nearsightedness in the other. Over the past two weeks, the nearsighted eye has been suddenly getting red. It starts as soon as I wake up and lasts for days, with no pain at all. Before this began, I used to experience brief involuntary eye movements — my eye would flick left and right very quickly for a few seconds, then stop. That eventually went away, and after that the redness started. Should I see a doctor? And what could this possibly be?
