Reoccurring UTIS
Post Content
My first uti I had I was 6. I went in my moms room and told her my pee pee burned and woke me up in the middle of the night. She would have be do baking soda baths but I remember always feeling so guilty waking her up when I was in pain. I continued to get uti type pain once or twice a month from then on. In middle and high school she got me a “disability hall pass” that allowed me to use the restroom whenever I wanted and the teachers could no longer gripe about my urgency. I’m now 25 turning 26 this year and as I’ve gotten older it’s got worse. I have seen 5-6 different gynecologists that have said I’m either being sensitive, or It’s “not possible to have that many utis”. It seems to flare up a lot right before my period and afterwards and I also have extremely painful periods. I’m getting a laparoscopy this year to check for endo but I have not seen a urologist -I’ve changed my detergent to a sensitive or all clear -I don’t use soap (I’m not wrinkly or stinky down there) -Me and my boyfriend have sex less than once a month it feels like because I am constantly in pain -I live off of AZO it’s the only thing that helps and I keep it on me at all times. -I’ve changed all my underwear to 100% cotton - I don’t use tampons anymore they seem to agitate me -I don’t eat spicy or super acidic -cranberry juice in fridge at all times - constantly changing underwear sometimes 3 times a day Has anyone else had this experience before? It’s bizarre it’s been happening since I was a kid. When I realized how long it’s been going on it concerned me a lot as I’ve never heard of this before.
