No meds working - any words of optimism?
Post Content
I’m just starting to feel hopeless again. I was diagnosed over 4 years ago, and I’ve been through a dozen medications (listed below). The only one that has worked was oral Mesalamine which worked for 22 months. Im currently on Rinvoq but I can’t tell if it’s making much of a difference. I’m talking to a Gastro surgeon in a couple weeks. But I’m only 24, and worried how it will affect my lifestyle and potential pregnancy in the future as I’m starting to plan it. I guess I’m just hoping for some optimistic views from others that understand UC… Medicine I’ve tried: Stelara, Humira, Mesalamine suppositories, Budesonid, Prednisone (doesn’t even work on me), Azathioprine, Xeljanz, Ortikos, Balsalazide Disodium, (Oral Mesalamine and Rinvoq, as mentioned).
